In regards to Budget 2020, executive director-general of Cybersecurity Malaysia, Amirudin Abd Wahab, said that digital security is crucial in efforts to steer the country towards a digital economy. Trust and confidence are two key elements which would guarantee consumers’ acceptance of a technology.
He also added that cyber security is something that both the industry as well as individual users needed. Individuals, governments and companies will be exposed to the threats of cyber-attacks when we move towards a digital economy.
In Budget 2020 that was presented by Lim Guan Eng, Malaysian Finance Minister, there are various initiatives and incentives for the development of “digital applications, digital companies, and digital Malaysians”.
