Nanocore Rat – This Trojan Malware is being offered on the dark web for free which could lead to a spike in cyber-attacks. With little-to-zero hacking skills, attackers can steal passwords, payment details & record audio and video without users even realising by disabling the webcam light to avoid detection of Windows users. This dangerous Trojan Malware is distributed through email phishing attacks has functions such as controlling your mouse, opening web pages, remotely shutting down and restarting your machine. These abilities make it easier for the attacker to steal individual’s password, personal information and banking details.

Condition Zebra (an International IT security services, Training and Certification provider) would like to give a few tips on how to prevent yourself from being a victim to this dangerous Trojan Malware. Firstly, you have to think twice before you click. Do not simply open all emails you receive. Make sure you know the sender. Hover over links that you are unsure of before clicking on them. Make sure it will redirect you to the page it’s supposed to.

Secondly, keep your browser’s version updated. Security patches are released in response to the security loopholes. Download and install updates immediately when you are notified.
